We assess your hair, discuss your goals and recommend the most suitable method and row count for your lifestyle and budget. No obligation.

Hair Sourcing
Your extension hair is sourced, colour-matched and ordered specifically for you. A 50% deposit on the hair cost secures your installation appointment.

Installation
Each row takes approximately 25 minutes to install. Your wefts are hand-sewn onto custom tracks — no heat, no adhesive, no damage.

Ongoing Care
Regular maintenance appointments keep your extensions looking beautiful and your natural hair healthy. Mel will set your schedule at installation.
HOW IT WORKS

Why do you only offer the sewn-in method?
We believe it is simply the best method available for the long-term health of your natural hair. Adhesive, bond and tape-based methods all involve heat or chemical agents that can compromise the hair over time. Our sewn-in technique uses nothing but thread — making it completely damage free at every stage from installation through to removal.
How long does installation take?
Each row takes approximately 25 minutes to install. A typical set of two to three rows takes around 50 to 75 minutes. Your exact timing will be confirmed at your consultation once Mel has assessed your hair and agreed on a row count.
How long do the extensions last?
The weft hair itself can last 12 months or more with the right home care. Your natural hair will need maintenance appointments every six to eight weeks as it grows — at which point Mel will reposition the wefts back toward the scalp.
How much do extensions cost at Platinum?
Because every set is completely customised — different row counts, lengths, hair weights and colour matching — pricing varies from client to client. All pricing is discussed and confirmed at your free consultation before any commitment is made. There are no hidden costs and nothing is ordered until you are completely happy with the plan.
Do I need a consultation before booking an installation?
Yes — and it is complimentary. The consultation allows Mel to assess the suitability of your natural hair, recommend the right method and row count, colour match accurately and give you a precise quote. It takes around 30 minutes and there is absolutely no obligation to proceed.
Can I colour my extensions?
We can colour-match your extensions as closely as possible at sourcing. Some toning may be done at or after installation to blend seamlessly with your natural hair. We do not recommend bleaching extension hair as this can significantly shorten its lifespan.
What is the difference between Flat Volume Wefts and Genius Wefts?
Both are installed using our sewn-in method. Flat Volume Wefts are our most popular option — slightly thicker and ideal for clients wanting fullness and length. Genius Wefts are ultra-thin and more flexible — ideal for fine or fragile hair where maximum discretion is the priority. Mel will recommend the right option at your consultation.
